As the design team behind the "Grateful Meal" initiative at St. James' Settlement, we envisioned a branding identity that embodies nourishment and compassion. Our logo, crafted from food symbols, encapsulates the essence of the meals provided—each element representing the care and thoughtfulness behind every dish. This visual language not only creates an inviting aesthetic but also connects recipients to the warmth of home-cooked meals.
In designing the packaging, we play along with different food identity languages to ensure clarity and understanding. Instead of presenting meals merely as generic offerings, our packaging highlights the unique textures and flavors, allowing recipients to recognize and appreciate what they are eating—transforming each meal from a simple pudding into a nourishing experience. Through this thoughtful approach to design, we aim to foster a deeper connection between the meals and those who receive them, enhancing the overall experience while promoting dignity and care.
